Welcome to Camp Life: DC Destroyers
Anthony Hess of Team Combat League visits the DC Destroyers team at their home gym to get a workout in before their Semi-Finals Matchup with the NYC Attitude
Watch this all go down Tuesday August 15th on our Youtube Channel
In the first match of the Semifinals, NYC Attitude, coached by Ryan Oleary and Benny Roman, will face off against the DC Destroyers, coached by Barry Hunter, in the first bout of a doubleheader.
The teams met twice during the regular season and split two tightly contested matchups. Leading Most Valuable Fighter candidate Quincey Williams will seek to avenge his only loss of the season against Cristian Cangelosi of NYC. This contest also marks the return of NYC standout lightweight Sherbek Rhakmatuloyev, who has not fought since suffering a brutal knockout at the hands of Marcel Davidson of Atlanta. He will be fighting Cobia Breedy, seeking to avenge his two previous losses to Rhakmatulloyev in Breedy’s first exposure to the TCL one-round concept. Breedy has been on a tear since that bout, stringing together an impressive 6-2 record over his last eight matchups. In the heavyweight division, NYC rookie sensation Pryce Taylor will be pitted against seasoned pro Norm Neely, who is coming off a stoppage loss at the hands of Greg Hardy of Dallas.
In the Nightcap of the Doubleheader, the 6-1 Atlanta Attack will face off against the 4-4 Las Vegas Hustle. Atlanta prevailed in a controversial decision in the team’s only previous meeting during the regular season. There will be plenty of family intrigue in this matchup. Sam Arnold IIII of Las Vegas Hustle, is slated to fight twice against his father’s Atlanta team. Other matchups of note will be between the two top heavyweights in the league Michael Hunter of Las Vegas and Devon Young of Atlanta. Fans are also eagerly awaiting a rematch of the street fight between Keith Hunter and Javon Young, who are slated to fight in both the Launch Rounds and the Money Rounds of the Contest.
